Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 September 2026
This privacy policy explains how TyreBrand (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit tyrebrand.co.uk.
We are committed to protecting your privacy in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who We Are
TyreBrand is a trading name of M&M Tyres (NE) Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10426685). Registered office: 177 Stockton Street, Middlesbrough, TS2 1BY. You can contact us at sales@mmtyre.co.uk or on 07974 136136.
For the purposes of data protection law, we are the data controller.
What Data We Collect
We may collect the following personal data:
- Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Email and WhatsApp correspondence: Your name, contact details, and the content of messages you send us.
- Tyre search and purchase data: When you use our tyre search and checkout tool, you may enter your vehicle registration number, contact details, and payment information. This data is collected and processed by our third-party tyre supplier (see Third-Party Services below).
- Website usage data: We collect anonymised data about how you use our site through hosting analytics, including pages visited, browser type, device type, and approximate location. This data does not personally identify you.
How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form, email, or WhatsApp.
- To facilitate tyre searches, purchases, and fitting bookings through our third-party tyre supplier.
- To monitor and improve our website performance and user experience.
Our lawful basis for processing your data is:
- Consent: When you submit the contact form or message us via WhatsApp, you consent to us processing your data to respond to your enquiry.
- Legitimate interests: We use anonymised analytics data to improve our website. This does not override your rights and freedoms.
- Contract: When you purchase tyres through our site, processing is necessary to fulfil your order.
Third-Party Services
Our tyre search and checkout tool is provided by a third-party supplier. When you use this tool, your data (including vehicle registration, contact details, and payment information) is processed by that supplier under their own privacy policy and terms. We recommend reviewing their privacy policy, which is accessible during the checkout process.
We use third-party hosting and analytics services to run and monitor our website. These services may process anonymised usage data.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We only share data where necessary to provide our services or where required by law.
Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person and not an automated script. Turnstile may process your IP address and browser information for that purpose. Cloudflare’s privacy policy explains how they handle it.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use them as follows:
- Essential cookies. These keep the site working, for example remembering that you have seen our cookie notice and helping our caching and security tools serve pages safely. They do not identify you.
- Third-party services. Some parts of the site are provided by other companies and may set their own cookies: the tyre search and checkout tool, the Google map showing our fitting location, the Google reviews widget, and the Cloudflare Turnstile check on our contact form. Each of these is covered by that company’s own privacy policy.
- We do not use advertising cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site may not work properly.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal data where there is no compelling reason for us to continue processing it.
- Right to restrict processing: You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to object: You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sales@mmtyre.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and correspondence for up to 24 months, after which they are securely deleted unless there is a legal reason to retain them. Analytics data is anonymised and retained in aggregate form.
Data processed by our third-party tyre supplier during purchases is retained according to their own data retention policies.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Our website uses SSL encryption to secure data in transit. Access to personal data is limited to those who need it to provide our services.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
